Our Verdict

The majority of the RC-505’s controls are simple to use and fun to experiment with. The FX dials are nice and substantial, allowing you to get your body behind them while performing, however, only one control is available at a time. Specific FX parameters can be preserved in a phrase memory for quick recall; it’s only a waste that there isn’t more control available via fast touch.

Although this device isn’t ideal, it does provide a higher level of performance possibilities for looping when compared to the competitors. We’ve had a lot of fun with it and recommend it if you’re looking for an all-in-one looping solution.
