Scarlett 18i20 is also compatible with all other major DAWs, on Mac and PC. Download the free Focusrite iOS Control app and adjust cue mixes created with the Focusrite Control desktop app remotely from an iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch. *Roundtrip latency was measured at 2.74ms, working at 96kHz with a 32 samples buffer on Logic Pro X, running on a Mac Pro and OS 10.11

Our Verdict

At some point, 2-in/2-out interfaces can become claustrophobic. When you’re ready to advance, you can do so in smaller increments for a cheaper fee. Scarlett variants with an increased number of channels are also available.

However, with a retail price of less than $500, the 18i20 is highly enticing, especially when compared to the other alternatives, which deliver fewer tracks while still costing a large chunk of the 18i20’s price. People, this is a good deal, so go big on songs, go cheap on price, and record at home.
