Our Verdict
The Booster Mini has one minor flaw: the trim pot for adjusting the gain of the Echoplex Preamp is located on the inside. As a result, experimenting with and adjusting the pedal to different guitars and amps on the fly is more difficult than it should be. Having said that, it’s simple to find a sweet spot for the Echoplex boost and fine-tune this with the gain and tone controls.
Light, compressed drive sounds from the Echoplex side and scorching, trebly lead tones from the Micro Amp were my favorite settings. However, this fantastic little boost box provides a plethora of great light-to-medium driving tones.
